TRI/Airtesting
Inc. was established to focus on compressed air
testing, medical gas testing, and indoor air testing. The patented
TRI air/gas sampling equipment was designed in 1975 to obtain
both a technically accurate gas sample and an oil mist and
particulate sample that is representative of customer use conditions.
TRI, and AIHA accredited laboratory since 1980, is committed
to providing excellent customer service.
Texas
Research International was founded in 1975 by Dr.
J. Scott Thornton and conducts applied research and development
for government and industrial clients. Under its umbrella,
Texas Research International houses three subsidiaries: TRI/Austin,
Inc., TRI/Air Testing, Inc. and TRI/Environmental,
Inc.
TRI/Austin,
Inc, is TRI's flagship company and conducts materials
research and development projects. TRI is committed to providing
the highest quality materials science products and services.
It offers polymer science and composite materials development,
nondestructive testing and evaluation, failure analysis, laboratory
testing services, and reliability engineering services for
both commercial and government clients.
TRI/Environmental,
Inc. was established to address health, safety, and environmental
concerns primarily for commercial clients. It focuses on protective
clothing evaluation, development, and certification; analytical
chemistry testing services; materials testing and characterization;
biological testing; compressed air testing; and geosynthetics engineered
materials designed to enhance or alter the behavior of soils.
Located in Austin, TX, TRI has access
to the resources of the university systems, libraries and high-technology
industries that have propelled Austin to the forefront of technological
achievement.
Ideas to Market
TRI/Austin,
Inc, has formed a limited partnership for the purpose
of commercializing new SBIR technology. This partnership, Ideas
to Market, L.P., currently provides funding for market research,
intellectual property protection, and additional product development
efforts for selected SBIR technologies. Over $1.1 million was
raised in the initial offering.
